Artist Statement 

I’ve always been drawn to people’s faces and how they show their emotions. I love capturing those feelings and expressions in my work, and I use a lot of colors to make that connection stronger. Oil paint is my go-to medium because it gives me room to keep adjusting and it never dries too fast, which fits how I like to work.

Growing up with divorced parents and living with different adults wasn’t easy, but it helped me understand people better. I know what it’s like to feel down, but I always found ways to push through and get stronger. That’s why I focus on capturing emotions in my art. I want people to feel like they’re not alone when they see my work—something colorful, goofy, or happy that makes them feel understood and connected.
