This painting features my little cousin, capturing her emotions after our big cousin Edward left for college. Edward has always been her leader and caretaker, so his departure left her feeling a bit sad as she adjusts to the change. I used warm colors to convey the happiness within her as she knows Edward is moving on to a new chapter. However, there's also a sense of sadness, which ties into my related chair painting, symbolizing loneliness. Now, she faces the challenge of taking care of herself, which presents a great opportunity for her to grow.
